Youth Ministry
Connect, study, serve, and have fun!
Join us next Sunday!
I hope you all have power and everything you need again after what was quite an eventful few days over the weekend! We're (hopefully) edging closer to being able to meet in person again with Covid numbers in VA going in the right direction and warmer weather not too far away. In the meantime our Zoom selection for this Sunday looks like this:

10 am - Sunday School - we'll explore the theme of Hope this week as we finish our "Grace Still Works" series.

11 am - Confirmation with Andy, looking at Faith, Trust, God and the Trinity

4 pm - Youth group for a mix of games and conversation around the theme of Competition.

All three will be using the same Zoom link.

Sunday 28th:
Sunday School at 10 am, Confirmation at 11 am, Youth Group at 4 pm.

Sunday March 7th:
Sunday School at 10 am, Youth Group at 4 pm.

We recognize that for the next few weeks, this means there is a clash between youth group and Godspell rehearsals, but feel this is the best way to offer everyone something on Sunday afternoons without overdoing the amount of time we are on Zoom. It also means we have 2 separate Zoom links for Sunday afternoons, please make sure you click the right one. The Godspell link is further down the page.

Godspell Updates

Even though we have been stuck on Zoom for rehearsals, we are off to a great start with our musical preparations! As you can see in the master schedule, here is what this Sunday's schedule looks like:

3:40-4:00 Solo coaching for Anna and Anne
4:00-5:20 The full cast will rehearse all songs and begin learning choreography.
5:20-5:40 Solo coaching for Lauren B., Lauren M., SG, and Vivian

Please continue to contact Claire with all known schedule conflicts throughout the spring. Also, as we approach our outdoor rehearsals, everyone needs to be thinking about their PPE. Click here to see the clear mask that we intend to distribute to all cast members. We believe this will allow your facial expressions to be seen, while still giving you the ability to sing better than a cloth mask allows. If you have concerns about the use of this particular mask for any reason, please don't hesitate to let us know, as we want everyone to feel as safe and comfortable as possible.

Please use this new Zoom link that has been set up for all of our musical rehearsals.
Youth Music Ensembles

Based on the extension of the 10-person gathering restriction, our new projected return date for in-person bells, choir, and instrumental ensemble is March 14. In the meantime, you can still record "Lead Me, Lord" if you have not already done so. We have also opened this up to the Chancel Choir in an effort to bring in more singers, but we challenge the youth to produce more recordings than the adults! You can click here for the instructions. Please note that the absolute last day to submit a recording of this piece is this Friday!
