LENTEN QUIET MORNING Isaac Arten presents The Christian Life Through the Anchoress' Window: Lent in the Company of Julian of Norwich on Saturday, February 20 via Zoom. The day begins with Morning Prayer at 8:45 AM followed by the Quiet Morning from 9:00 AM until noon.

Isaac is a PhD candidate in historical theology at St. Louis University, focusing on Christian accounts of what it means to be human. Isaac holds a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and served as Youth Minister at CSMSG from 2005 to 2012.
SUNDAY WORSHIP at 8 AM, 9 AM and 10 AM this Sunday, February 21, will be held inside. Those attending should use the Ellenwood doors to enter and exit the church.

Registration is required for all services using the links below, via www.csmsg.org, or by calling 314.721.1502. Registration online closes at 11 PM Saturday and registration by phone closes at 5 PM Friday. All attendees are required to wear masks.

LIVE STREAM SERVICE AT 10 AM For those unable to join us in person, Sunday's 10 AM service in the church will be live streamed online at www.csmsg.org. 
COMMUNION PICKUP
Parishioners unable to attend in-person Sunday worship may pick up a Home Communion packet for at-home distribution. The wafers will be consecrated at the 10 AM Sunday service and processed out by the priest who will be distributing the packets. The Holy Communion pickup will be from 11 to 11:15 AM on Sundays at the sidewalk near the Ellenwood entrance. Registration is required.
COFFEE HOUR continues via Zoom on Sundays at 11 AM. Please join us from home after enjoying outdoor or online worship. Check your inbox for the invitation with the Zoom link emailed to the parish each Sunday morning.

EPISCOPAL CHRISTIANS CONFIRMATION CLASS
Episcopal Christians, CSMSG's four-week confirmation preparation class led by Fr. Peter Speropulos, will be held on Wednesdays in March from 7 to 7:45 PM via Zoom. COVID WEBINAR Join parishioners and medical professionals Dr. Tom Hyers, Dr. Stephanie Nash, and Dr. David Brown for an update on the latest information about Covid-19 and the vaccine. This webinar will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, March 2 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

JOIN BROTHERHOOD OF ST. ANDREW The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is one of the Episcopal Church’s oldest ministries and is based on the disciplines of prayer, study, and service. The Brotherhood of St. Andrew at The Church of St. Michael & St. George was founded in 2018 and currently has about 25 members who meet monthly. 

All men of the parish are invited to join us on the second Thursday of every month from 7:00 to 8:00 PM for discussion and fellowship. Due to Covid restrictions, meetings transitioned from in-person in the Sverdrup Room to online via Zoom. Whether you are looking for a way to connect with other parishioners or become more involved in the church during Lent, your participation is welcome and encouraged. WOMEN'S RETREAT The past year presented us with unprecedented challenges both individually and communally. Join us via Zoom on Saturday, March 27, from 8:45 to 11 AM for Mystical Wisdom of Our Times. Kathleen Davies will lead us as we delve into the teachings of the Mystics like John of the Cross, Julian of Norwich and others to explore how their wisdom can lead us to transformation. Lenten Giving Project Support the Last Days Apostolic Church by donating school supplies to the Children's Ministry Lenten Giving Project. Items requested include wide-ruled notebooks and paper, pens, pencils, crayons, erasers, markers, colored pencils and more. Visit our Amazon Lenten Giving Wish List and have items shipped directly to CSMSG or drop off donations at the Church. Monetary donations are welcome and checks should be made out to CSMSG. All parishioners are encouraged to participate in this project.

Children's Chapel via Zoom Join us on Sundays during Lent at 11 AM for Children's Chapel via Zoom. These brief, online services will be led by a member of the CSMSG clergy and Children's Chapel leader Brett Rutledge with music provided by Beth Wagner. An email with the Zoom link and service leaflet will be sent to Children's Ministry families each Sunday morning. Youth Group Movie Night We reserved a theater at the AMC Creve Coeur 12 on Thursday, February 25, at 6:00 PM for a private viewing of the movie School of Rock. Youth Group Paintball Middle school and high school students are invited to Gateway Paintball in Bridgeton on Saturday, March 6 from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. Cost is $30 and includes paintball gun, mask, and 500 paintballs. Friends are welcome to join your team. Registration is required. Register for Youth Group Paintball

High School Small Groups – High school small groups continue weekly. This semester we walk through the Book of Ruth. There are three opportunities for small groups this year:

  • Girls Small Group - Wednesdays at 4:00 PM (in person)

Prayer in the Night: For Those Who Work or Watch or Weep Join fellow CSMSG parishioners during Lent for a discussion of this new release by Tish Harrison Warren. The group will meet on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8 PM through April 1 via Zoom to discuss this book framed around the nighttime prayer of Compline. Discussion will conclude in time for participants to join online Compline with Fr. Peter Speropulos.

How to Attract Birds to Your Backyard Lifelong bird enthusiast Bryan Prather from Wild Birds Unlimited discusses ways to attract migratory birds to your yard. Join us via Zoom on Thursday, February 25 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM to learn more about birds native to our area. Families are encouraged to participate and those registered by Monday, February 22 at noon will receive a complimentary gift bag to accompany the presentation.

Faithful Generations - Christ and Culture Registration remains open for this seven-week course taught by The Rev. Peter Speropulos.
