A Message from Wake Forest Power

The Town of Wake Forest and Wake Forest Power continue taking precautions to promote social distancing in response to health experts’ recommendations to slow the spread of COVID-19 .

While the Wake Forest Town Hall remains open to the public during normal business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), we encourage you to call, email or go online to pay or ask questions about your electric bill, instead of coming in-person to Town Hall. By utilizing Town services from the comfort of your home, you can help to protect yourself and your family, as well as Town staff.

Paying Your Bill
Wake Forest Power offers an array of convenient payment options:

Online Bill Pay
With online bill pay , you can pay your utility bill with an American Express, MasterCard or Visa credit card or a debit card with MasterCard or Visa logos; view your bill, current balance and due date; access billing history, payments, and charges; and view historical consumption data. Enjoy added convenience by enrolling in  E-Billing . As an added bonus, Online Bill Pay is provided as a function on the Town of Wake Forest app .

Wake Forest Pre-Pay Power
Wake Forest Pre-Pay Power  offers you the opportunity to pay when you want, in the amounts you want. Instead of receiving a traditional monthly paper bill, usage is calculated daily. As a pre-pay customer, you'll never pay a late charge and you won't be charged costly disconnect and reconnect fees if your account runs out of credit. Payments can be made with cash at Money Gram locations (at most Wal-Mart's and CVS Pharmacies), by telephone 919-283-5757 or  online .

Automatic Bank Draft
To save time and money and avoid late fees, have your monthly payment automatically drafted from your checking or savings account with Automatic Bank Draft . It's the same convenient process you may already use to pay a car loan, insurance premium or any other monthly payment. With the automatic bank draft, avoid the monthly hassle of writing checks and mailing them or dropping them off at Town Hall.

Equal Payment Plan
Take the surprise out of your monthly utility bill with our Equal Payment Plan  (EPP). Once you enroll in EPP, you will receive a bill each month for the same amount. It's a great way to smooth the peaks and valleys of seasonal electric usage and enable you to budget with precision.

Pay By Mail
Use the return envelope included with your bill to send payment or mail to
Town of Wake Forest, P.O. Box 600068, Raleigh, NC 27675-6068.

Drive-Up Drop Box
You can drop off utility bill payments at your convenience at the drive-up drop box located in Town Hall’s Brooks Street parking lot. We will be happy to mail you a receipt upon request.

Service Disconnections Temporarily Suspended
We understand that the COVID-19 outbreak may cause some of our valued customers to experience financial difficulty due to illness, quarantine or a disruption at work. As part of our commitment to serving and working with you during this difficult time, we have temporarily suspended all service disconnections for nonpayment until further notice.

If you are unable to pay your bills or do not have any options other than cash, please call 919-435-9478 or email us, so we can work out a payment arrangement. Your bill/debt will not be forgiven or erased, but we will work with you to make payments to the best of your ability in order to prevent the accumulation of a larger balance.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to pay your bill, we strongly encourage you to set up a payment plan as soon as possible. We fully expect disconnections to resume within 30-60 days of the resumption of normal operations.

We will continue to monitor guidance from public health agencies and provide updates on this policy moving forward.
COVID-19 Information
The Town of Wake Forest wants everyone to be well-informed about COVID-19. We have created a web portal dedicated to information and updates on the COVID-19 pandemic. The portal includes a complete list of facilities, events and meetings that are closed or canceled in response to COVID-19, along with a link to NC 2-1-1 and a listing of local food and beverage establishments providing takeout and delivery service. We update the page as new information is made available. The situation with COVID-19 is evolving. To help provide you with facts and allay your concerns Wake County created and is continually adding to a list of frequently asked questions .

NC 2-1-1
NC 2-1-1 is an information and referral service that families and individuals can call to obtain free and confidential information on health and human services resources within their community. NC 2-1-1 operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and resources are available in most languages.

“Services like NC 2-1-1 are critical during times of emergency,” said Governor Cooper. “North Carolinians can now call 2-1-1 to get the information they need while we continue working together to prevent the spread of this virus.”

North Carolinians can text COVIDNC to 898211 to receive general information and updates about COVID-19. Sign up now to get regular alerts on the rapidly evolving situation and North Carolina’s response.

NC 2-1-1 can refer callers to the organizations in their local community best equipped to address their specific health and human services needs including food, shelter, energy assistance, housing, parenting resources, health care, employment, substance abuse treatment, as well as specific resources for older adults and for persons with disabilities, and much more. Simply dial 2-1-1 or TTY 888-892-1162 for assistance.
