April 18 is Youth Sunday!
An invitation from Alex

I want to extend a warm invitation to the entire Westminster family to join us for the Spring Youth Sunday worship service, at 8:30am in the Courtyard and at 11:00am on YouTube. Five of our Seniors are preaching, one has recorded a really cool piece of music, and a few others are reading Scripture, leading prayer, and more. You are sure to be inspired by these young people – they inspire me every day 🙂 – so please don’t miss it!
WPD Durham CROP Walk Team to Fight Hunger
Just three days left to walk and give!

Neil McElroy, Kenzie Brannon, and our fearless WPC Durham CROP Walk team have been getting closer to the goal of raising $10,000 to fight hunger locally and globally. (Watch a CROP Walk message from Neil and Kenzie.) In past years, Westminster Presbyterian Church has led the charge in donations, and we are hoping to do that and more in 2021! Can you help? There are only three days left to support this vital ministry! Thanks in advance, WPC family 💙
NEW Westminster Allies Workshop Begins Monday

It meets on Monday nights at 7:00pm, April 19-May 17, and will be led by Stacy Whitenight. Take part in this supportive community and help champion a humble, curious approach and actionable path to pursue social justice.

“Creativity and Imagination: Connecting Student Achievement and Faith Development”

There’s still time to register for our April Aperture with award-winning teacher, author, publisher, documentary creator, and Presbyterian Stuart Albright! Join us Wednesday, April 21 at 7:00pm via Zoom to learn about his fascinating research on creativity and imagination and how it can make a difference in your own life of faith.
Next Friday: Movie Night in the Courtyard at 8:00pm

The Fellowship Committee invites you to bring a lawn chair and watch the movie "Up!" in the Courtyard with your WPC friends. Bring everyone in your household on Friday, April 23, at 8:00pm, and come enjoy the night air and a delightful movie. "Up!" is rated G for general audiences. (Sorry, due to COVID-19, no food can be consumed during the movie, but maybe next time!)
CASA Community Named for Nancye Bryan

Bryan Place is a future CASA community located on North Duke Street and lovingly named in honor of Nancye Bryan, a longtime CASA board member, volunteer, and advocate, and WPC member! Bryan Place will have 16 one-bedroom units and will serve those earning less than 30% area median income, with a special focus on those experiencing homelessness. Congratulations to Nancye on this great honor, so well-deserved!
