Remember if you have Show and Sell inventory use that to fill your take orders before you place your take order with the council.

Commissions
We have gone online and updated the commissions for Glaciers Edge Council Kick off Webinar (preregistration list) and budgets (due September 18).  Remember that the unit kernel selected prizes or not when you register and you should still be able to make that change if you didn't when you signed up. We still have a few commissions that you can earn but they are calculated at the end of the sale: Average $600 sales per Scout, Sale size $13,500 - $18,499, Sale size of $18,500 or higher. 

Please log in and check your commissions and if we missed something please send an email with unit number and which commission was missed to [email protected] and we will check into it and fix it if necessary.  

Also note that Trail's End is still working to update the online commission to 25% and that will be adjusted retro active to September 1 as previously published. You will see a one time debt to your account for the adjustment. 
 Selling Popcorn Online Direct
We are happy to announce that you will be able to sell through Online Direct through the end of the year. All take order sales and prize program ends on October 14. 

Check out the Holiday items available through the online direct sale. Your unit kernel and your Scout should have received an email tell them about this limited time product so that they can promote it with their customers.

It has Scouts with tips and tricks that they are using for their online sales. 

We have been hearing lots of tips for online selling. Make a video and email or text it to family and friends with your Scout's code. Post on Facebook but tag specific people asking them to make a purchase.

Free Shipping Update

Trail's End has been running a variety of test on reduced fee for shipping and free Shipping with a minimum order of either $30 or $40 or more. They have determined that the best option is Free Shipping for minimum order of $30  or more. 

As announced in an email to the unit Kernels and Scouts they announced the current offering as "Starting September 11, 2020  to September 17, 2020 the Free Shipping will apply to minimum orders of $30 or more"  and then "Starting September 17,  2020  to September 24, 2020 the Free Shipping will apply to minimum orders of $30 or more" 

Trail's end is running the current promotion with an end date and they are doing this for a couple of reasons.

1. To create a since of urgency for the customer to go online and place an order to get the free shipping with a minimum order of $30. 

2. Councils are being allowed to opt in or out of these Free Shipping Promotions on a weekly basis. As we discussed the Shipping is not really free as the cost is bring passed on to the Council and the units.  We will be participating in all Free Shipping opportunities as we feel it will help the Scouts and units with online sales. 

Trail's End will continue to offer Free Shipping opportunities through out the rest of the sale. However, there may be a day or two in between where there will not be free shipping. Plus there will always be a minimum order amount for the Free Shipping promotion. They will send an email out to the unit Kernels and the Scouts giving them the specifics of each opportunity.  Please watch your Trail's End emails for updates. We will be posting these on the GEC Popcorn Facebook page.
