“I like to reinvent myself — it’s part of my job.”
― Karl Lagerfeld
Thank you for adapting to a whole new business model and doing your best to bring us puzzles and books 🙂 — Kate via Facebook Message while ordering a puzzle

If there's one thing we are proud of, it’s been our ability to reinvent our retail model to continue to get our customers what they need during the Coronavirus pandemic while keeping everyone safe. We have the most incredible team, without whom we wouldn’t have been able to pull it off, and the most wonderful customers who have continued to adapt alongside us and support us on this journey. So yes, shopping looks a little different these days, and we wanted to take a moment to give you a window into our world while updating you on what things look like today.
1) After receiving your web order or call we jump into action
2) Once an order is complete, it moves to the pick-up staging area
3) Or, if shipping to home, over to our shipping station
4) For curbside pick-up, it heads to a bin awaiting your arrival
Zoom into an Event
With everyone at home, we've also needed to reinvent our event model. Have you attended one of our virtual author events yet? Here's what we love about them:

  • You don’t need to leave home
  • You don’t need to dress up
  • You get direct access to ask questions of the author
  • Most are free to attend

Our virtual events take place via Zoom. Once you download the app on your phone, tablet, or laptop, it’s a simple matter of clicking on a link to access the event. We conduct author events as a webinar, so you see the moderator and author, but they don’t see you. We conduct events in this manner for security control purposes. You are able to ask questions via a Q&A and/or Chat window.

So far, we’ve heard from authors Anissa Gray ( The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls) and Angie Kim ( Miracle Creek). Both discussions were enjoyable and enlightening. So grab your favorite adult beverage and settle in for a delightful hour.
