Weekly Director Letter 02/05/2021
My Dear Families of Kids For Kids Academy,

You have given us one of your most valued treasures.

While at our school we do what is in the best interest of the health and safety of your child, however, we cannot do it without your help.

It has been brought to my attention that many children are still participating in extracurricular activities. Please consider eliminating your child's exposure to large groups.  If your child is participating in groups sports, perhaps consider holding off for a few months until the conditions are more safe.

My staff has made personal sacrifices to avoid family gatherings, malls, and other crowded areas so that they can remain COVID free to provide a safe learning environment for your child.

Even though people are being vaccinated, we should not let our guard down. The best ways to combat COVID are, constant mask-wearing, social distancing, and boosting your immune system.  I ordered Vitamin D3, Elderberry, and Zinc for my staff and also provided them with face shields to go over their masks.

Please remember to always approach our doors to drop off and pick up your child wearing a mask. Please wait at the socially distancing signs for your child, rather than crowding at the front door. Six feet social distancing is very important.

I am happy to speak to families, but even I find myself standing to close. Please support me in standing six feet away when we do need to communicate.

Doctors are suggesting with the new strain, we should wear 2 masks and a face shield. Hopefully, by August much of the population will be vaccinated, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

We are continuing to clean and sanitize the rooms on a daily basis. My cleaning team will continue to clean and sanitize nightly. Deep cleanings are done every weekend as an extra precaution.

We will continue the temperature checks and the hand cleaning throughout the day. We will continue to make you aware of early symptoms we may see in your child, such as a cough, a runny nose, lethargy, diarrhea, or fever.

We continue our pledge to do all in our power to give your child a quality environment where they can learn, play and grow.

Together we have learned so much this last year.

Kids For Kids Academy is a united family of children, staff, and parents.

I thank you for your support in keeping our school safe.
Have a great weekend!
