We are re-opening soon and we have missed you!
These past few weeks have been challenging for everyone, and we hope that you are all safe and healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

We feel extremely fortunate to be able to welcome dancers back to the studio from 22nd June, and want to thank all of you in particular who are giving online lessons a go, and who sent messages of hope during this time.

As the state of this public health emergency changes from day to day, we will remain focused on keeping our team and our dancers safe, healthy, and informed as we navigate our re-opening.
Come In WE ARE REOPEN
Firstly, however, we need to thank three amazing dancers...
Three very special members of our community have played a major role in keeping our studio viable during this time.

Emma Ford

Anne Bowkett

Jim Cree

To these three DK Guardian Angels - all I can say from the bottom of my heart is 'thank you'. Without you three, I'm not sure we would have seen this day.
Book in your private lessons early!
We will of course be allowed only limited numbers of dancers in the studio at one time from June 22nd - so we recommend you contact your teacher now to arrange your private dance lessons so you don't miss out on your preferred time.

Note: New group lessons are on each weekday evening from 7-7.45pm - so this time will not be available for private lessons or practice for the time being.
Our safety plan...
We will be presenting a full Covid-19 safety plan to have you back dancing, and feeling safe, at the studio over the next couple of weeks.
Social Distancing
What's new for group sessions?
From June 22nd we want to make sure as many of you as possible can get back to dancing - so we will be running group lessons EVERY day.

You'll need to pre-book so we can meet all the safety guidelines - and numbers will be limited, at least initially, but these sessions will be run by all your favourite teachers and jam packed with the DK artistic excellence you adore!

**NOTE: If you have credit in a class pass - you'll be able to use your credit for any of these group lessons until the end of the year.

What's new in social dancing?
We are still running our Friday night dance from Friday 26th June, but it will be for couples only for now, so that we can meet all the regulations. Plus there's a limit initially of only 20, so there'll be plenty of space to stretch out.

Pre-booking will be essential and we'll send details of how to book in the next couple of weeks.

Our 80's Ball - which was postponed - will be re-scheduled as soon as we can have more numbers, and make sure everyone is safe.
What's new in Awards?
From June 22nd we will run Award classes every night. One dance is taught for the whole lesson until the end of July, to give you plenty of time to perfect it, and anyone is welcome to join the class and learn the dance, whatever your level.

Award Day is Saturday 19th September 2020 and we've got some exciting new developments to announce.

Videos demos are now also available via our DK App. Download it to your phone and check them out.
Award videos are now on the DK App!
What about competition dancing?
Competition private lessons commence from Monday 22nd June 2020, and there is also a special "Return to Fitness" Technique class planned for each Tuesday at 7pm with Leighton to get you back to comp fitness as soon as possible.

Competition Practice class will commence back on Sunday 28th June 2020, with a limit of 10 couples.

We'll send out details to enrol in the next couple of weeks.
