There are a few things we need during this time.
 
If you have extra sheets or towels, cut them into washcloth-sized squares. 
 
We always needs prepared newspapers. Click here to see how to prepare them for us to use. 
 
We hate to ask for items you may need, but if you have wipes, bleach, dish liquid or paper towels, we are running very low.

Animal shelter offers pet pantry
To help those needing pet food
 
KITTANNING, PA -- Orphans of the Storm in Kittanning, Pa. is offering pet food to those struggling during this pandemic.
 
"People should never have to choose between feeding their animals and other necessities," said Bethann Galbraith, shelter manager.
 
"We want to help keep pets in their homes with their families, despite economic challenges," Galbraith added.
 
The shelter will offer this service as long as its supply allows.
 
Anyone needing pet food or wanting to make a donation to the Pet Pantry should call the shelter at 724-548-4520.
 
A great time to adopt 
 
With so many staying at home, there may not be a better time to adopt a pet.
 
OOTS has many pets waiting for forever homes: from long-term residents to bouncy puppies and playful kittens.

And, at least one special pair of kittens would benefit from extra time and attention in their new home, Magoo, a blind kitten, and Maggie, his seeing-eye companion.

Orphans of the Storm is located in Armstrong County. We were established in 1969 to provide temporary shelter for unwanted and abused animals. We match lovable animals with loving forever homes, educate the public on humane, responsible care of all animals, and promote spaying and neutering to reduce companion animal overpopulation. Orphans of the Storm is a no-kill animal shelter. This means we euthanize an animal only if it is suffering with no hope to be cured, or if the animal is a danger to people or other animals.
