Conclusion
Mavic Mini
I was surprised at the results from the Mavic Mini. I did not expect it to do as well as it did. It is not a platform I would use on a live project only because I have access to better drone platforms. The Mavic Mini does not do well vertically when getting over 10' outside of the GCP polygon. The Mavic Mini is not recommended for any heavy duty 3D requirements. The orthomosaic is not bad at 100' AGL which is way better than imagery from Google Earth.
Mavic 2 Pro
The Mavic 2 Pro is a clear a winner for 100' AGL 3D results and did very well at 200' AGL. The Mavic 2 Pro actually did quite well when extracting digital elevations across the street which is outside of the GCP polygon. The sharpness of the images are really good when creating an orthomosaic.
Inspire 2 x5s 15mm lens
The Inspire 2 held its own at 100' and 200' AGL as expected. The 15mm lens did show some distortion at 100' AGL when going outside of the GCP polygon area across the street which improved at 200' AGL. The sharpness of the images are really good when creating an orthomosaic.
Two elevated positions on top of the roof and AC unit were extracted from the three different flights to determine the amount of flucuation between them. I did not run direct levels to these two points. As expected, the elevated positions are not as realiable as positions on the ground but are close for general purposes such as extracting building heights to the nearest 1/2 foot.
