It's been quite a summer so far! I wish I could show you pictures of my adorable new grandbaby, but my oldest son prefers that I don't share online which I respect. But let me just say, "Totally adorable!!" Congratulations to my husband for becoming a deacon in our church. We had a lovely party to celebrate.
I had a fun time presenting at the Blount Country and Jefferson City Library. In Jefferson City, I presented with an educational employee of the Titanic Attraction. Did you know they do Zoom presentations to classrooms? It was a fun talk and A Titanic Friendship fit right in. I loved the little girl who came in full mermaid costume, complete with tail! I look forward to visiting Soddy Daisy Community Library later this month. I'll also be part of Write OnCon, a low-cost on-line writing workshop.
Since I obviously didn't have enough going on, I squeezed in a conference trip to Washington DC. I have to say the changing of the guard at nearby Arlington National Cemetery will never be forgotten. I also got to the see the Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and Franklin D. Roosevelt memorial for the first time.
And later this month, comes a big event-my daughter's wedding!!! Fingers crossed that it does well. She's waited so long through the pandemic! Hope you have a lovely rest of the summer. God bless, Debbie
