FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR
The Next Generation
Of all the blessings we have at Calvary Church, some of the greatest are our children and students. Hundreds of children and students have Calvary as their spiritual home, and they impact the life and ministry of Calvary in innumerable ways.

I thank God that we are committed to teaching them the Holy Scriptures "which are able to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus" ( 2 Timothy 3:15) and helping them grow in their faith and serve at Calvary and beyond. As I preach through books of the Bible, we sometimes deal with weighty subjects, but I am a firm believer that it is good for our children and students to wrestle with these truths.

We praise God for Su Trull, our Director of Children's Ministries, and the enthusiastic Children's Ministry coordinators, leaders, and teachers. They love our children and have no greater joy than to see them coming to Christ and growing in God’s grace. Similarly, Eric Hill and Matt Thompson, our youth pastors, give capable and godly leadership to our students. With strong leadership teams, each student is impacted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Next Generation Worship Leader, Chelsea Hathaway, not only provides expert leadership in equipping our children and students to sing and play instruments, but she constantly challenges them to worship our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

"He commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments" ( Psalm 78:5–7).

Women's Summer Bible Study

Senior Sunday is June 7
Congratulations Class of 2020! We'll honor our high school seniors during our morning worship service on June 7 with video introductions to celebrate their accomplishments and future plans!
Summer IGNITE begins June 10
Students, stay connected at Calvary over the summer months at IGNITE! We'll gather on Wednesday evenings via Zoom and on social media to study God's Word and grow in our walk with the Lord.
"Hope for the World" Family VBS
This summer, we're bringing VBS to your family at home via livestream. Pick up a VBS-To-Go-Pack at Calvary on June 27, then tune in at 6:30 PM on June 28–30 for an all-new, totally awesome VBS! LEARN MORE & REGISTER
Calvary Food Pantry Donations
Currently, Calvary is supporting about 147 families in need, including 190+ children, from local elementary schools where we host Good News Bible Clubs.Thank you for donating generously through the summer!

  • ALGs are meeting via Zoom for Bible teaching, prayer, and fellowship on Sundays at 8:30 or 11:15 AM. Your ALG leader will send you Zoom details by email. If you're not part of an ALG, check with Pastor Nathaniel Pearce to get connected. calvarychurch.com/lifegroups

STUDENT MINISTRY
  • College Students (ages 18–25) are meeting on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM and on Sundays for ALG at 11:15 AM via Zoom with Pastor Eric Hill.

  • High School Students meet on Sundays at 11:15 AM for SLGs with group leaders and/or Pastor Eric Hill on Zoom.

  • Middle School Students meet on Sundays at 11:15 AM for SLGs with Pastor Matt Thompson via Zoom.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
  • The Children's Ministry weekly Bible lesson is posted on Wednesdays at calvarychurch.com/lesson. Use anytime during the week with your kids!

FAMILY MINISTRY
  • Family Transitions for Parents of 2nd Graders will be held on Sunday, June 14 at 5:00 PM via Zoom with Pastor Rodney Navey and Children's Ministry Director Su Trull. DETAILS
