Dear PARA Member,

For those of you who are historians, you likely know that the Port Authority is turning 100 on April 30, 2021. Look for an update about what the PA's Centennial Committee has been doing in our next issue of PARA-phernalia, which you should receive in mid-November.

One of the projects under consideration is a coffee table book commemorating the PA's centennial, which could be priced between $50-$85, depending upon the volume. The Centennial Committee asked if we would help them test the interest of our PARA members in purchasing such a book.

Please help the Centennial Committee know of your interest -- not a commitment to buy -- so they can better assess potential demand.

Very truly,

Your PARA Board

What is PARA?
The Port Authority Retirees Association (PARA), a not-for-profit corporation, was formed in 1989 to promote the welfare of retirees of the Port Authority (and PATH). That is accomplished by Paras acting as spokesperson for Port Authority retirees. We foster and encourage legislation that maintains or improves our circumstances primarily as it affects the pensions of the New York State Retirement System. PARA now has some 4,100 members residing in 39 states and 12 countries. PARA maintains an active affiliation with the Alliance of Public Retiree Organizations (APRO) representing more than 350,000 members throughout New York State.
