Indoor Dining to Close at Midnight and Other New Province Wide Restrictions
British Columbia is amid exponential growth of COVID-19 over the past week, as a result the British Columbia Government is implementing new Provincial Health Orders to help stop the spread.

The province announced today that:

  • all indoor dining must close, takeout and delivery service are permitted, and
  • patios may remain open unless the facility has a limited food menu with snacks or appetizers only then they must close. People dining on patios should do so with their immediate household only in groups of 6 maximum.
  • Indoor, adult group fitness activities of any kind are no longer permitted.

All new Public Health Orders go into effect at Midnight on March 29 and will be in place through April 19 until Midnight.

Provincial officials have also asked anyone that can work from home to do so and reminded travel for non-essential purposes should not be happening right now. Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort is also now closed until April 19.
