Elected Officials Lend Support

CubeSmart Opens Self-Storage Facility
CubeSmart recently opened a 175,000 square-foot storage facility at Beltway 8 and Westheimer Road. The facility offers month-to-month leases, 24-hour video surveillance and a well-lit premises. Customers can buy boxes, tape, locks, shelving and other supplies onsite.
In addition, store amenities include delivery acceptance and onsite copying/printing services.
The facility is 100 percent climate controlled, has five stories at 35,000 square feet each floor and will offer 1,311 storage units for lease. Located at 2840 W. Sam Houston Pkwy S, the facility has storage units ranging from a 3'x3' locker up to a 10x30 foot storage unit.

National Pollinator Week
Thirteen years ago the U.S. Senate's unanimous approval and designation of a week in June as "National Pollinator Week" marked a necessary step toward addressing the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations. Pollinator Week has now grown into an international celebration of the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, birds, butterflies, bats and beetles.

HCC Campus Trail Reopens

The HCC Campus Trail reopens this week after being closed since April. The trail portion from Meadowglen to Westheimer at Houston Community College has been restored due to the installation of a 42-inch waterline.

WDCF Gives WHAM Spring Dash Sponsor Boost
"WDCF wants to support events that create a positive impact in our community which is needed more than ever," said Craig Eichhorn, WDCF chair. "As a virtual event, anyone can participate in Spring Dash and help support WHAM who is on the frontline helping people with nowhere to turn."
Spring Dash works by challenging participants to run anytime from June 26 through June 28, any place of their choosing, anywhere, anytime.
WHAM encourages participants to run a full 5K route and everyone who registers will receive a finisher medal.
