Who's Who at the Zoo

Say hello to a newer member of the Miller Park Zoo family - Sandra Goaley. Sandra joined the team as Guest Services manager in April and has been hard at work making sure the Zoo has everything our guests need.

This month’s guest photo comes from Michelle, whose two year old son, Michael loves the Zoo's San Clemente Island Goats! Michael loves them so much that he is able to navigate (on his own!) all the way from our Sumatran Tiger habitat to our Children's Zoo to see his goat buddies. Right baa-ck at you, Michael - the love is mutual!

What's Happening

Society receives gift from Doris Henderson Fund

The Miller Park Zoological Society was one of 21 non-profit organizations to receive a generous gift from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation (IPCF)-Doris Henderson Donor Advised Fund after the passing of Doris Henerson last December. According to the IPCF, one of Doris Henderson's passion was wildlife, and the Zoological Society is honored to have been included in her last wishes.

Mulefoot Hog almost ready for debut!

Due to an exciting circumstance, our hog is not quite ready for his close-up. Because of this, the naming contest has been extended a little longer. Keep an eye on the Miller Park Zoo Facebook Page for the winning name for the male hog. More to come on the additional excitement!

Reggie Redbird Homecoming Visit

Miller Park Zoo is excited to welcome back Reggie Redbird as part of Illinois State University's Homecoming Celebration! Reggie will be at the Zoo Sunday, October 9 so be sure to come out and see him!

American Red Wolf Week

September 12-16,we are celebrating the most endangered wolf in the world, the American Red Wolf week! Keep an eye on the Miller Park Zoo's Facebook page for Red Wolf Facts and information about our Red Wolf brothers.
