IPM Responds To COVID-19 Crisis With Care For

Our Community

When schools and businesses shut down temporarily this week in response to the global health crisis around COVID-19, IPM responded by providing a Drive-Through Food Pantry for families in need.

Individuals may drive up to one of IPM's two pantry locations during Drive-Through hours every two weeks and receive a pre-packaged selection of groceries. On Day 2 of the Drive-Through Pantry, IPM served a record number 63 households.

As the community has recognized the growing need, donations of healthy snack and lunch items have helped IPM provide Power Packs to school children and seniors who are faced with more time at home.

How can you help? Assemble Power Packs at home and drop them off at IPM's Newtown or Amelia Pantry during business hours. By coordinating with schools and other agencies, IPM will distribute these to families in need. Click here for more details.

Crock Pot Cooking Classes Heat Up

Through a partnership with a local affordable housing complex and a generous grant from Indian Hill Church , IPM provided a series of crock pot cooking classes for those in need. Designed to teach parent-child teams a new recipe each week, the classes supplied a crock pot, pantry staples and ingredients to families attending. The families assembled the meals during the class and cooked them for dinner the following day. Food safety and nutrition tips were also part of the classes. With this program, IPM worked to expand its reach in the community, taking food and cooking skills to families in need where they live.

Celebration 2020: Light Up a Life!

Due to current public health concerns, Celebration 2020 has been postponed. Stay tuned for more details as we work to reschedule IPM's largest annual event. This event promises to be a fun and exciting night celebrating the work of Inter Parish Ministry and honoring the contributions of our Circle of Hope recipients Bo Hesser, Tina Lytle, and Clark and Linda Ramey.

IPM is a choice food and clothing pantry that serves clients in eastern Hamilton County, Clermont County and western Brown County through education, encouragement and support. With your help, IPM has opened its doors to those in need for over 55 years. Your contributions make all the difference.
