And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging
one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Dear Prince Families:
This time LAST YEAR, I wrote you asking to replace handshakes with fist bumps and a statement, “This is an evolving and complex situation, and we will continue to follow the latest CDC updates for guidance on the most effective and sensible prevention measures for schools.” Together, we have been on an incredible journey since then as we enter week five with zero positive student COVID-19 cases.
The faculty and staff will deliver quality instruction during this short four-day week, and it is essential students come to school prepared and ready to learn before taking a well-deserved break for Good Friday, Easter, and next week’s spring break. There are six weeks of school following our return, and they are always the busiest of the year. For planning purposes, you can review our school calendar HERE.
Thank you to those who attended our “Party with a Purpose” spring gala that raised over $137,235 (previous record $88,213) to support our annual fund, which makes up the difference between tuition and what it actually costs to run the school. Our teachers’ letters of intent have been received with 98.3% stating they will accept a contract for next school year if offered one, and teacher contracts go out this week. Our current student retention rate of 95.6% and new applications to date are at a six-year high. Of course, not all students who apply are accepted for several reasons, including a clear parent profession of faith and a church recommendation. A compromised voice in that regard is a juxtaposition to our mission statement. Much of our school’s success is attributed to the unity that comes from yoking like-minded conservative families; we love our Lord and our country, and to Him be the glory. We are looking forward to a productive week!
In His service,

The 14th Annual Party with a Purpose Spring Gala was a tremendous success! Last week, our parents, community partners, and friends gathered to celebrate Prince Avenue Christian School at the Prince Avenue Baptist Church Tabernacle. Thank you to all who attended and participated in this special event.
The silent auction was abuzz with excitement as bidders competed for their favorite items. The amount raised for the event is continuing to climb, but to date, we have exceeded our goal and have raised an amazing $137,235!

It was a blessing to hear two of our seniors sing as well as encouragement from Head of School Seth Hathaway, Athletic Director Richard Ricketts, Fine Arts Director LaMurl Morris, and PABC Pastor Josh Smith. Through laughter and tears, we heard how the ministry of Prince Avenue Christian School has influenced the lives of many students and families. What an incredible night!

Dear Parents,
Our middle school students enjoyed a guest speaker, Gideon Ajagbe, this week in Chapel. Gideon is a former SEC football player and currently a student pastor in Snellville, Georgia. He spoke to our middle school students about the importance of Christian community in their lives to inspire them to follow Jesus more closely. His message was anchored in Hebrews 10 that reminds us that our hope is anchored in Jesus, and our community should be there to pick us up when we struggle to run this race well. After a year where church and community have been disrupted, this was a great encouragement for our students!
