A Message from Pastor Austin
William (Bill) Metz
1946-2020

Very few people have inspired me like Bill Metz. Yesterday, Bill was called home to everlasting life. Though we miss him and mourn his loss, we celebrate his incredible life. We rejoice in the promises of our Lord Jesus and what he did for Bill and for us. I will never forget one morning I was reading Jesus' words ....

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:28-31

Bill smiled and said, "That's good . . . that's good." He then said, "If we all did that everything would be just fine."

Wise words from a very wise man. That's what the world needs to hear today. Bill loved his Lord, his family, his friends, and his church. We already miss him. Please pray for his family and thank God for the precious time we had with him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we commend Bill to your loving care. Thank you for the gift of Bill in our lives. Thank you for giving your son Jesus so that Bill, and all who believe, enjoy eternal life with you.
Amen

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully[a] will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7
