Elementary School Cohorts A & B
Join on Thursday
Due to the snow-day closures and the extensive snow-removal efforts of our wonderful facilities staff following the storm, the relocation of furniture necessary to accommodate the planned Combining of Elementary Cohorts A and B has been delayed. To that end, we are shifting to Thursday, February 11, 2021, as our first day of Elementary Combined Cohorts.

We thank you for your understanding as we adjust to a “new” way of schooling. Our goal is to stay within COVID-19 mitigation guidelines set by the Westchester County Department of Health. As shared previously, we are committed to extending in-person instruction to four days a week for as many students as possible while ensuring safety for all. (Wednesdays will remain days for asynchronous learning.) It is a complex task; the number of available seats at any given time varies from school to school and classroom to classroom because of the restrictions of square-footage parameters.

The middle and high schools would not be impacted by this change.

Each elementary school is continuing to review ways to maximize available space and staff in support of our efforts to increase time in schools. Building principals will be communicating directly with their school communities about this initiative and will provide information specific to their building.
