Dear Shir Chadash Community,
On behalf of the Officers and Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Naomi (Nomi) Kornfeld will become our new Education and Programming Director effective July 1st. Her name and face may be familiar to some of you. Nomi's sister is Liba Kornfeld and her brother is Moshe Kornfeld.
Nomi possesses a breadth of Jewish experiences, including attending Jewish Day School, youth group and camp. She is engaging, enthusiastic and open to new ideas. Nomi brings a fresh perspective that will enhance and reinvigorate our Shul School curriculum and programming.
Many thanks to Danny Mintz, our Education Vice President, for his leadership of the search process and the committee members who ably served with him. They worked hard and spent countless hours on this important hire for Shir Chadash’s future. In addition, thank you to Peter Title, our Executive Vice President, for his time and efforts to negotiate an Employment Agreement with Nomi.
Finally, we are grateful to Meryl Zimmerman, our Interim Education Director, for her service this past year. On short notice, Meryl took on this role and performed it well during an extremely challenging time.
