ICA Joins Board of Directors of IBC Shenzhen's One Belt One Road Initiative on Southern China Gems and Jewelry Platform
The One Belt One Road development strategy proposed by the  Chinese government  fo cuses on connectivity and cooperation between Eurasian countries. ICA President Clement Sabbagh has been invited to sit on the Board of Directors of this extremely important initiative. Read More
Sri Lanka Gem Trade Free of Export Charges
The recently-introduced charges for exports by the NGJA have been removed with immediate effect, thanks to efforts by the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association, the Lanka Gem Dealers and Miners Association from Ratnapura and the China Fort Gem and Jewellery Traders Association. Read More
India's Gems & Jewelry Exports Decline 5% Overall; Colored Gems Grew 3.14%
The Indian Gem and Jewelry industry saw a decline of 5.06% with total gem & jewelry exports recorded at US$41B as compared to US$43B in the same period last year. Colored gem exports increased 3.14% to US$433M. Read More

GIT Announces Worldwide Jewelry Contest
The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand invites designers worldwide to compete in the 12th edition of the international jewelry design contest under the theme of The Pearl of Wisdom – Illumination from under the Surface . First prize is $3000. Submissions are open until May 28, 2018. Read More

The Association of Women in Energy and Extractives in Kenya (AWEIK) is in the process of planning the 2nd Kenya Gem and Jewellery Fair. Mustang Resources Recovered 29,069 carats from Montepuez Operation in March
The  ASX -listed company has said that 43,940 m 3  of stockpiled material was recovered from Montepuez during the quarter, with an average grade of 0.42 ct/t, or 13.5% higher than the average grade achieved in the fourth quarter of last year. Read More

A 3.47-carat Fancy Intense Blue Diamond Ring set a record at US$6,663,300 ($1,920,259 per carat) at Sotheby's New York auction in April, exceeding its estimate of $2-$2.5 million. Read More
Rare Farnese Blue Diamond Sells for $6.7Million
A pear-shaped 6.16-carat blue diamond, known as the Farnese Blue, surpassed pre-auction estimates after going for sale for the first time at Sotheby's Geneva on May 15. Originating from the Golconda mines in India, it passed between Europe's royal houses for more than 300 years . Read More
Historic Collection of Emeralds and Diamonds Sells For £1.9M at Bonham’s
The three pieces of historic Art Deco diamond and emerald jewelry, attributed to Hennell, became the subject of a bidding frenzy in Bonhams New Bond Street salesroom in London, eventually selling for a total of £1,928,250. Read More
