MESSAGE FROM MARIE
Executive Director Marie Jachino

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we begin a new year, we are energized by the evidence that we are making a difference in the lives of almost 6,000 individuals each month.  Our hearts are absolutely FULL thanks to the generosity and steadfast support from our donors and community partners and so many others who helped make 2018 another exceptional year.

More and more people are turning to the Food Bank for help.  Since 2014 we have seen a 87% increase in the number of people we serve each month.  The families, children, veterans, seniors, homeless and others living on fixed incomes are struggling to keep up with the raising costs of everyday basic needs. Hunger is 365 days a year and it does not discriminate. Our commitment to serving those in need is exemplified by our dedicated and compassionate volunteers and staff.  Elk Grove Food Bank Services is constantly striving to meet the pressing needs of our diverse community.

Again, we are incredibly grateful for our community partners and friends across all sectors of our community.  We look forward to your continued partnership as we find solutions for our neighbors facing hunger.

Warmest regards,
Marie

THANK YOU!!
Volunteer Profile
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK

For well over 10 years Two Men and a Truck
has donated their staff, trucks and time to
assist us with picking up thousands of pounds of food. They generously donate every year and have an amazing team that we so enjoy working with!

The Kids Can campaign requires volunteers who can go to each school in the district
and pick up the canned food donations.
It is a  big endeavor and we could not do it without them!

Not only do they provide their trucks but
also manpower to load and unload the
boxes of cans, which can be quite heavy,
and very hard to lift.

Hunger is 365 days a year and without wonderful volunteers and partners like Two Men and a Truck we would be unable to Fill the need ~ Feed the Hope.
