Greetings Friend! I hope that you are healthy and well as we continue to settle into 2021. The year has had a thrilling start, with the Mars Perseverance Rover successfully landing on February 18. That same day, we launched Mars: An Artistic Mission to celebrate the event. Alongside this virtual exhibition, we will host on March 13 a panel of scientists and artists alike, who will detail how science and art are intertwined, creating beautiful art and ease of access to scientific material for the public. We hope you will join us for what will be a fascinating discussion. As you may know, 2021 marks the introduction of our new quarterly Excellence in Traditional Fine Art Competition. This coming Sunday, March 7, we are excited to unveil the works of the finalists for the inaugural event, themed Renewal and Rebirth, and announce the artists who have been awarded honors and cash prizes from guest judge Peter Trippi, editor-in-chief of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. Second Annual PleinAir Live

Dates: April 15 - 17 with a Beginner’s Day on April 14 The California Art Club is proud to be a sponsor of the Second Annual PleinAir Live, presented by Streamline Publishing, publisher of PleinAir Magazine.   PleinAir Live will offer art instruction demonstrations, talks on art principles, lectures on art history, and painting critiques. Participants will use Streamline’s community platform to interact and take part in nightly paint-alongs. A shoppable Virtual Vendor Hall will also be presented.
