National Drug and Alcohol Prevention Week
October 26-30

North Allegheny elementary schools will celebrate National Drug and Alcohol Prevention Week October 26-30. At each elementary school, we will participate in a variety of activities, using materials that promote good decision-making. Presentations and messages will focus on helping students understand that they are responsible for making healthy choices in life. Choosing to be alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free is one of the best choices that they can make!

Enjoy the following at-home activities from the Red Ribbon Campaign website:

District Updates
Elementary Grading Update

With students between in-person and cyber placements for the start of the second quarter, the District will be modifying the ending date for the close of the first quarter marking period for elementary students. This is necessary since report cards need to be finalized prior to rescheduling students who are moving placements for the start of the second marking period which begins on November 4, 2020.

Timeline for Quarter 1 Grades
  • First quarter marking period will close on Monday, October 26, 2020, instead of November 2nd.
  • Wednesday, October 28 will be an asynchronous day for all elementary students and staff in order to allow staff time to complete grades and enter information into the system for report cards.
  • Report cards will be available in the Tyler Portal on Monday, November 2, 2020.
