We're coming down the homestretch and we're coming to some crossroads. First the homestretch. We're waiting on the Governor to outline phase 1 directives. Based on those directives Plan A would be to have scheduled times for families to enter the building to return/pick up items/say good-byes. Plan B would be to do a drive by drop off/ pick up/ good-bye. We'll keep you posted.

And now the crossroads. In the coming weeks we'll be making many decisions for the next school year. Needless to say, we're not sure how things will look next year, but we do know things will look differently, as they will in all schools throughout the country. As we make those decisions, we'll be considering the latest directives from the state, our city's decisions, our own school environment and how best we can serve our students. Central to all our decisions will be our enrollment.

Although we have received many registrations for next year, we still have, quite understandably, some outstanding. To make good decisions, we need to know your intentions. We hope you will continue to enroll your child(ren) at St. Michael's Academy, but if you know if you are not planning to come back, will you please e-mail [email protected]? With all the financial concerns at present, we know for many of you, it's a risk. We also know as the next year unfolds, changes in financial security may and will occur. Please know we will do everything we can to work together with you so that your child(ren)'s Catholic education can continue without interruption. Your children are our first priority.

We're really looking forward to being together again in the fall...however that may look!

Enjoy a wonderful weekend. The weather tomorrow looks fantastic!

Peace and God's blessing.

Ms. Ann E. Dougal
Principal

Registrations For Next Year

The deadline for registration was last Friday, May 1st.  If you have not sent in your paperwork and deposit and want to return, please send it in as soon as possible. As we begin to make decision, we cannot guarantee that a slot will be available for your child.

As you can imagine, planning for next year is difficult and we need all the information possible to make good fiscal decisions.

Thank you!

"Flat Me" Motivates Students

The first grade teachers have come up with a great idea to have fun with their students and motivate them at the same time! They created and sent their students a "flat me" version of themselves. The "flat me" project is an image of their teacher that they keep with them while they are doing their schoolwork, embarking on a project, or setting down to sleep! It's like having your teacher right there with you!

Here are some fun photos!
