Focused Collaborative Meetings
This year, CCAoNH a program of Southern New Hampshire Services is offering Virtual Early Childhood Focused Collaborative Meetings for Directors, Administrators, Teachers and other Early Childhood Professionals. These Meetings are group-driven to reflect the participant’s needs and interests and to provide participants with information around the focused topics. In addition, participants will learn about Child Care Aware of NH program updates, essential local and State information along with other professional development opportunities.

This month, Stephanie Therrien, State Lead Pyramid Model Coordinator from Southern New Hampshire Services, Child Care Aware of New Hampshire will be joining us. Stephanie will be presenting on the Pyramid Model and how it relates to infants and toddlers.

Lisa will be sharing resources concerning the Environment Rating Scales, and Meg will be sharing information concerning the New Hampshire Connections Website and the New Hampshire Connections Job Board.

Topic: This month, Liz Scruton from Southern New Hampshire Services, Child Care Aware of New Hampshire, will be joining us. Liz will be demonstrating how to register for and navigate through the New Hampshire Connections Information System (NHCIS) Professional Registry. She will also highlight how to ensure the bridge between ProSolutions and the NHCIS Account to ensure staff are getting their training information to populate correctly.

Topic: This month, participants will partake in an open conversation titled Building Successful Staff Relationships & Communication. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about basic communication skills, how to enhance effective conversations and face a conflict with confidence. During this meeting, participants are asked to consider how their own personality may shape their communication style and what they value in relationships.

Topic:  This month, Donna Lake, Professional Development Support Coordinator from Southern New Hampshire Services, Child Care Aware of New Hampshire will be joining us. Together we will explore: Strengthening Fiscal Management for Family Child Care Programs: Financial Reports and Internal Controls. Working with children may be your passion but running a business may not be. We will introduce financial reports that can help you to better manage your program's finances and discuss what internal controls mean in a family childcare setting and how they can strengthen the fiscal health of your program.

Topic: This month, participants will partake in a Topic Learn & Share session. During this meeting, participants are asked to bring a resource to share with other participants to take back to their programs. Examples may include: a visual you use to help children learn about their emotions, strategies you plan to support children develop friendships and ways you encourage family connections in your program.
