joy doing outside of work
I ride a bike for fun, commuting and errands. It’s great for physical and mental health, environmentally sound, and saves $. Plus there are lots of great events (when virus doesn’t interfere).

What is the best advice you've ever been given?
My high school basketball coach told us that when you make a mistake, don’t hang your head and look at your feet, just forget it and play harder.

What is something you want people to know about Pine Tree?
It has 40 lawyers and they are incredibly committed to the work.

What is your favorite place in Maine?
Baxter Park
What is your favorite outdoor winter activity?
Walking/snow-shoeing through the woods behind our home, looking for interesting birds.

What is the most interesting job you've ever had?
My current one, for sure.

What is your favorite recipe?
At the moment, I’m obsessed with a Greek Lentil and Spinach Soup with Lemon recipe from the Washington Post – which I could eat on a daily basis.

Tell us about a hobby you enjoy doing outside of work
I’m not sure gardening counts as a hobby but it is a complete distraction from work, while Maine conditions allow.

What is your most memorable case?
I was hired by Pine Tree in June 1985 to work on the effort to secure federal recognition of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs, which was finally approved and signed into law by President Bush in November 1991.

What is your favorite Pine Tree tradition?
Staff sharing client success stories via a program-Wide email on Fridays.

What is your favorite place in Maine?
A blueberry patch in the woods near Rangeley Lake where I can fill a bucket.

Cats or Dogs?
I’ve had both, but have come to value the dueling traits of independence and lap-sitting displayed by cats.

Coffee or Tea?
Coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon.

Mountains or Ocean?
Mountains, especially during teaberry season.
