From the Head of School
Dear Parents and Students:

We’ve had a strong finish with academic instruction, and now our focus of effort turns towards recognizing our students’ achievements and the logistics that accompany the end of the school year. We had a great time yesterday at the senior parade held on campus, and thank you to all the parents, students, faculty, and staff that participated!
Here is a list of forthcoming events:

Kindergarten Graduation and Fifth Grade Moving Up Ceremonies
Due to bad weather forecasted for our area tomorrow, the kindergarten graduation and fifth grade moving up ceremonies are moved from Monday to Tuesday. Tuesday was our previously published rain date, and all ceremony times remain the same. A parent alert will be sent to kindergarten and fifth grade parents this evening, and teachers will also contact parents.

  • Kindergarten Graduation - 10:00 a.m.

  • 5th-Grade Moving Up - Gibbs 12:00 p.m., Mauldin 12:45 p.m. & Mayne 1:30 p.m.

The Great Exchange
From May 20-23, students/parents will come to campus to receive any belongings left on campus and turn in any school owned property. If you missed the sign-up survey we sent last week, you can to select a date and time most convenient for you HERE .

High School Graduation
Rain or shine, graduation will be held on July 17 at 7:30 p.m. on the football field or in the worship center, and we will practice appropriate social distancing at both venues. We have something special planned for our seniors during this event that you won’t want to miss!

Our Campus Safety Committee is continuing its work on the development of policies and procedures for modified campus operations once we are given authorization to reopen. As soon as we receive guidance from state and local authorities, we will update you in a timely manner.

Thank you for your continued partnership in Christian education.

With warm regards and in His service,

Seth Hathaway, Ed.S.

Athletics
Important Athletics Updates
  • As of today, our campus is still off-limits to students, and all athletic activities are suspended.

  • The school administration is working in conjunction with numerous medical professionals to formulate protocols for safe return of our student-athletes. Safety will remain our number one priority.

  • Full practices and fall tryouts will not be held until at least July. If the GHSA does open things up in July, we will need to hold tryouts for fall varsity sports and cheerleading immediately. Please try to plan your summer calendar accordingly.

  • You may go ahead and begin updating your student’s PRIVIT information that will be required when we return. All required forms are found in PRIVIT and may be digitally filled out and signed. This will be a much easier process this year for returning students. You can access PRIVIT HERE.

  • The GHSA has announced that students who had physicals on file for the 19-20 school year will not be required to have new 20-21 physicals until July 27th. Beginning July 27th, all athletes will be required to have a physical dated April 1, 2020 or after. Students that did not have a physical during the 19-20 school year will be required to have a physical before participating in any athletic activities. Remember, physical forms should be downloaded directly to your PRIVIT account.

  • Registration for fall elementary sports is now available on the school website and in this edition of the Wolverine Weekly.

  • We will communicate with you as soon as clear directives are given by the GHSA.

Prince Class of 2020 Graduation
Chaplain's Corner
Dear Parents,

The end of the school year always brings a range of emotions, especially this year and the time in which we find ourselves. Despite all of the changes and difficulties, it has been a great year, and I am sad to see it end. I do believe that God has been at work in our school, and I believe that He will continue that into the next year!

Paul teaches us in Romans 14:17 that the Kingdom of God is characterized by “righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit”. My prayer for each of our families as we head into the summer is that the Lord would grant you those things. Although difficult times often have the ability to disrupt our peace, steal our joy, and sometimes even bring out our least favorite characteristics, I pray that we would instead grow in righteousness, peace, and joy as we seek Jesus first.
