Continuing Voter Support for Transit: In West Virginia on Tuesday, voters in Huntington, Parkersburg, and Vienna approved transit funding measures by impressive margins. In communities large and small, voters have continued to support public transportation at the ballot box, even in a very challenging environment. So far this year, voters have supported transit in 17 of 19 local elections. Read more   
 
Flexible Use of State Transit Funds: In Oregon, public transit agencies are seeking approval to use certain state transit capital funding for basic operations due to the economic impacts of the coronavirus. Read more
 
Encouraging Data from Asia and Europe: In Japan and France, no coronavirus clusters have been found on subways, trains or buses.  A Science magazine article indicated that infection clusters were connected to gyms, night clubs, and karaoke rooms, but that none were traced to Japan’s famously crowded commuter trains.
