BE Active Wisconsin - Community Challenge
Be Active Wisconsin-WAWM Community WAWM RCS Department
Be Active Wisconsin-WAWM Community WAWM RCS Department

Cities and towns across Wisconsin are hosting the first-ever Community Fitness Challenge! The "Be Active Wisconsin" Community Challenge invites all community members to participate in a virtual challenge to promote active lifestyles, connect people to the outdoors by encouraging the use of our parks/trail systems, and engage Wisconsin communities in a friendly competition!

All active minutes count (not just running/walking), so let's get moving West Allis West-Milwaukee! The winning community will receive a trophy, and all participants receive a T-shirt. (It's the same shirt for every participating community - how cool is that?) While there is a personal goal of 200 minutes a week to help motivate and to give you a goal to strive for, there are no requirements and no awards given for personal goals so that you can customize it based on your needs.

All participants will have access to a Google Form where you will enter your minutes each week by Monday morning at 9 am. The link to the form will be emailed to all registered participants on March 1st. The numbers for each community will be sent out to all community representatives on Mondays, so we can encourage our West Allis West-Milwaukee community to keep moving!

Registration is now open!
Challenge runs from March 1st-31st
The fee is $10/$15(NR) per person (t-shirt included!) Ages 2-99!

"Egged"
The Easter Bunny has sent the WAWM RCS Department an S.O.S. and we are here to help him with his Easter Egg Hunts at your home.  That is right, the WAWM RCS Department will help your family have their very own Easter Egg Hunt in your front yard.  Families must reside within the WAWM community.  "Egged" begins Monday, March 29 and runs through Friday, April 2nd, families pick the evening that they would like the WAWM RCS Department to hide the candy and toy-filled eggs in your front yard so the next morning your family can enjoy your very own Easter Egg Hunt.  "Egged" has a package variety of 25 eggs for $15 or 50 eggs for $30.  Who's ready to go hunting for Easter Eggs?
Register online at wawmrec.com or call us at 414-604-4900 during office hours!
