Join Career Services for an ongoing series of LIVE 30-minute sessions with employers looking to hire. There are five this month, including: Discover Your Forest (3/10, 1 p.m.) and the Sisters School District (3/11, at 2 p.m.). The Champions of Well-Being
Exercise Science is certainly a field on the move. In an era when people are embracing wellness and fitness more than ever, and as health science continually takes new strides, the role of exercise science has gone increasingly mainstream. People want nutritional guidance. They’re looking to trainers and coaches — with both physical and mental toolboxes at their disposal — to enrich their lives. Physical therapists seem as commonplace in people’s health care orbits these days as doctors and dentists. Discover Exercise Science.
Events: Season of Nonviolence & Erica Entrop Exhibit
COCC's Season of Nonviolence culminates with two events. First, a documentary titled "Nevertheless," which examines sexual harassment, screening virtually on March 1 & 2. Email odi@cocc.edu for the link. Then, a program titled "Building Power and Change for Native People," at noon on Monday, March 8, led by Savannah Romero (at left) of IllumiNative, that explores misconceptions about Native Americans. Register via this link.
The COCC Art Committee is pleased to announce an exhibit featuring paintings by Erica Entrop, on display in the Health Careers Center ground-floor gallery now through mid-March. The exhibit, titled "I, Voyeur," is a series of paintings based on photographs from everyday moments on Los Angeles public transit rides. "The Metro is the perfect symbol of transition, never the final destination," shared Entrop.
