Overcoming Compassion Fatigue 

 

Are you looking to start the year off with tools to keep you refreshed throughout the year?  Perhaps you are concerned or have you lost your passion for your job? Or have you lost the ability to feel compassion for your clients? You may be experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, or toxic stress.  Register for our "Overcoming Compassion Fatigue" virtual workshop on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This training is for anyone wanting to learn to identify the symptoms, reorganize practices, and transform Compassion Fatigue into Compassion Resiliency.

The workshop is developed for professionals in helping professions to assist themselves, and others in building Compassion Resiliency. Come explore and learn from Alba Colmenares Moore, MA, LMHC, Supervisor of all school-based mental health therapy in northern Sarasota County, Florida. Her light-hearted and informative presentation will help you to identify compassion fatigue and overcome it through evidence-based strategies.
This training is recommended for mental health counselors, social workers, clinical social workers, case managers, attorneys, mediators, educators, healthcare professionals, and all others in the helping professions.

Continuing Education Credits available:
Mental Health Providers:  2 CEs provided by the Florida Board Of Clinical Social Work, Marriage And Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling through CE Broker.
Attorneys: The Florida Bar Association approved 2.5 General, 2.0 Ethics (Mental Illness).
Mediators: This course is eligible for 2 General CME hours for Family Mediators. Alba Colmenres Moore, MA, LMHC

Alba earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the Central University of Venezuela in 1997. She obtained a Specialition in projects management from the Catholic University of Venezuela in 2002, and a Master of Science in counseling from Nova Southern University in 2019, graduating with high honors. Alba is a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Alba has been working with children, adolescents, and adults for over 20 years in Venezuela and in the United States. She has also developed and conducted over 80 training programs and workshops in both English and Spanish. Alba is a devoted wife and mother, loves her career as a professional in the mental field, enjoys cooking and riding her bike. She has been fostering pets for over eight years, and is officially considered a "foster failure" because she adopted every pet she fostered; she now has four fur children.
