Caspersen Rowing Center Happenings
Providing a venue where athletes of all ages, talents and backgrounds have the opportunity to develop their rowing ability to their highest potential.
Mercer Lake Sprints
We are super excited to announce that the Mercer Lake Sprints are less than 2 weeks away and that we are able to be giving our Junior athletes an opportunity to line up and race other teams.
However, in order to be able to provide the race opportunity, we have to make this a NO SPECTATOR event.

That being said, the best way to watch races is to volunteer!!

US Olympic & Paralympic Rowing Team Trials
The road to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games has always gone through the Caspersen Rowing Center with the USRowing National Team Women training here. Next week, this road becomes wider with the US Olympic and Paralympic Rowing Team Trials taking place on Mercer Lake. Racing is scheduled from 8:00-9:30am Monday through Friday. Due to COVID restrictions, no spectators will be allowed at the Caspersen Rowing Center, however there are good spots to watch on the other side of the lake.

Swim to Row Update
How do you bring students who have little water experience into rowing?
PNRA has teamed with the Hamilton and Capital Area YMCA's and Mercer County Park to create the Swim to Row Program. In Level 1, students learn to swim and are gradually introduced to rowing.

After a forced year off due to COVID, we started our newest Level 1 Swim to Row group. We have 12 students involved dividing into two time slots. We are pleased that everyone is loving the swimming lessons so far and are progressing nicely. The athletes joined us at Caspersen on Thursday learning the fundamentals of rowing on the ergs. The athletes look amazing on the ergs last night and we cant wait to see how they progressed.
Our Novices off to a great start this spring!
