The annual event helps increase awareness and support for the actions we can take as a District and community to prevent suicide. Learn Fresh has a newly-launched Fellowship for Culturally Inclusive Education. This experience represents a main action item in the organization's push for social and racial justice. Learn Fresh is holding space for educators of color who are interested in helping build scalable, inclusive curricula that accurately represent the narratives in their own communities. Applications are available through October 30.

Junior League of Memphis has an exciting opportunity for teachers! The Innovative Teaching Grant allows teachers to secure up to $2,500 for an innovative project in their classroom or school. This year, the grant will be available to teachers who have an idea to improve their own practice through professional development, improve students’ social and emotional learning skills or improve students’ academic skills. The grant applications are due by Monday, November 23.

Our friends at the Orpheum are offering a free camp for young people who stutter November 21-22. Working in partnership with SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young, this exciting interactive day camp experience prioritizes connection, collaboration and FUN for kids and teens who stutter, ages 8-18.
