COVID-19 RESPONSE

Berea Tourism is continuing to monitor updates from the CDC regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 

The City of Berea suspends walk in traffic at Berea Tourism's Visitor Center
As a precautionary measure, in response to COVID-19 Outbreak, the City of Berea will temporarily close City offices to walk in traffic effective Saturday, March 14, 2020.
We are sorry we missed you. If you need visitor information, please check out our website at: www.visitberea.com
Please be patient with out offices during this time. We are committed to the safety of our employees, our visitors and our citizens. The Berea Welcome Center will reopen to walk in traffic as soon as possible.

As we all navigate the unpecedented, extraordinary and evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Berea wants you to know that we always have been and will continue to be available for assistance. Therefore, the City of Berea has announced a temporary website at:

Community Events
Berea College Forestry Outreach Center


In response to large gatherings that have been occurring at popular hiking and outdoor activity sites, Governor Beshear has urged the closure of all such venues to the public. 
The Red River Gorge is said to be closing as are most of our state parks and many outdoor city areas, as well.
The Administrative Committee has reluctantly made the decision to close temporarily the Indian Fort area and the College Forest more generally to hiking and other outdoor recreational activities.

Berea Farmers Market

We are following all state, city, and agriculture guidelines related to Farmer's Markets - this means we will have an outdoor market will all necessary  sanitary  procedures in place, and will practice social distancing. If you see a line or too many people standing around, please stay in your car. We ask that you do not congregate or socialize - quickly pick up your goods and return to your car.  Thank you for supporting us during this  difficult  time.
