Principal's Perspective
Dear Delone Catholic Families,

Since my last update indicating that Bishop Gainer will be offering a baccalaureate Mass for all the diocesan high schools on May 27 at 7 p.m., I have not received any further information that would change how we are currently conducting business. I understand that many of our seniors and their families are especially concerned with graduation and end of the year activities and, as soon as I have a relevant update to share with you, I will. Please be assured that we are exploring various options to bring this academic year to a close in a significant manner and to determine a process for returning and/or receiving students' personal items (locker materials, uniforms, Chromebooks, textbooks, etc.) which respects local stay-at-home orders and current CDC guidelines for the safety of both our staff and our community members.

May the Lord continue to bless us and our families! He is risen. Alleluia!

Sincerely,

Richard La Rocca
Principal

Ladies Tea Update
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Delone Catholic will be unable to host the Ladies Tea this spring. We pray that those suffering during this time will find strength and healing, and that scientists and doctors will find treatments and a cure that will soon allow us to gather again. This special event will be held in 2021 as long as it is safe to do so.

SportsLeader Virtue of the Week
One pillar of the SportsLeader program is a weekly virtue that we incorporate into our athletic practices and throughout our school community. Every week, we will share them here to encourage the students to take the virtue into their homes as well!

Our virtue this week is that of UNDERSTANDING - The strength to value positive and genuine relationships. Being an UNDERSTANDING person is a real gift for others. To understand that we all make mistakes, to understand that a team/group loss or disappointment is never the fault of one individual, to understand that the success you experience is due to the hard work and sacrifice of everyone. The more UNDERSTANDING we are, the happier we will be

Below is the link for the PIAA physical form that must be filled out by your physician if you choose to go to your private provider or organization that provides sport physicals.

***Please note, physicals are only valid for the upcoming school year if they are completed after June 1st, 2020.***
