AN UPDATE FROM MRS. GORR
May 16, 2020

Good morning,

Congratulations, Seniors! You have reached the end of your high school coursework but you have many exciting events ahead. Krispy Kreme Donuts is looking to honor you with a free “Graduate Dozen” donuts on May 19 ( details can be found here ).
SENIOR INFORMATION
Textbook collection and cap/gown distribution begins this week. Students should have signed up for a time using the link box below. There are still several slots available if your student has not yet selected a day and time.  Please review the guidelines HERE .

All students should park in the main lot outside of the LeBron James Arena.  Upon arriving to campus on May 19, 21 or 26, all students must enter through Door 1 (the entrance closest to the main office, near the flagpole). No other door will be unlocked.  Students will check in at a table located outside the main office.

*If your child is exhibiting any symptoms of sickness please do not allow them to come to school and simply email me to reschedule.
BACCALAUREATE MASS
A Baccalaureate mass will be celebrated for the Class of 2020 on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:00 pm . The special event will be streamed through Facebook Live and it will also be available on the STVM website. Seniors will receive two copies of the Baccalaureate program along with their cap and gown so that graduates and their families can follow along at home. More specific information on how to view the mass will be sent early next week.
GRADUATION
All of the plans for graduation are coming to fruition! As we get closer to graduation, the administration and teachers become more and more excited to celebrate this day with the students. Some special surprises await students and their families once they arrive at the STVM campus.  All of the details for graduation can be reviewed HERE . Students are encouraged to decorate their family vehicle to celebrate and commemorate the event. Graduation will be recorded and sent to all graduates by late June. A photographer will also be on site to document each student’s walk across the stage.
USED UNIFORMS
A used uniform sale is being planned for this summer. More information will be forthcoming in the next few weeks. If you have any uniforms that you would like to donate for this sale, please send them to school with your student during their locker cleanout time. A collection box will be located near the check-in table.
UNDERCLASSMEN
Juniors, sophomores, and freshmen have a few short weeks left. The last day of class is on Thursday, May 28. Students will have until 11:59 pm on June 2 to complete any missing or late work. If your student has not selected a time to come to school to return textbooks and complete locker clean out, please have them complete the Sign-Up Genius for their respective class (links below). More detailed information about specific procedures will be sent the week of June 1.
Be on the lookout for an exciting non-Covid related announcement coming early next week!

Thank you for your continued support. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Stay safe and God Bless,
