PES Principal Message
April 8, 2021
Puster Families,

Spring has sprung at Puster! There are baby chicks hatching in first grade classrooms and our kinder students had fun finding ladybugs and roly polies on the playground. With spring, comes a very quick last few weeks of school! We have worked to finalize all of our end of year activities and plans. Keep checking the dates below and watch for detailed communication around each event.

I wanted to remind you about the Virtual STEM Festival next Saturday, April 10th from 10:00-2:00. Same fun, just a different platform! Check out the STEM Festival website to start previewing the activities. Some activities have special supplies that the district will be providing. The sign-up for those activities is on the website.

As a reminder, if you are interested in staying informed regarding the proposal to consolidate elementary schools, you may access many resources here including Board briefs, FAQ's and past presentations. Please tune into the April 12th Town Hall meeting for additional information. You may access the meeting virtually here.

This sunny weekend, the Haynes family is looking forward to watching Graham play some baseball. I hope your family finds some fun ways to enjoy the weekend, too!

Puster Proud,
Holly

Learning with Your Librarian
Hello Parents!
I wanted to thank you so very much for coming to and shopping from our Spring Book Fair! We made over $4,000!! That is so amazing and will definitely go far in ordering books and other fun materials for our PES library. If you ordered books from the online fair the books have recently shipped and should arrive next week. When the books arrive they will be delivered to your child's classroom. Thank you again for your support of our library program, you are all so appreciated!

Happy Reading!

School Dismissal Manager Fast Facts
Here are a few Fast Facts that you will need to know for getting started:
1.  Please use this website to log in to SDM at www.schooldismissalmanager.com. The initial login is best completed from a computer as opposed to your phone.
2.   The Parent Login area is found at the top right of the SDM homepage.
3.   When you log in for the first time, you will be required to change your password immediately.
4.   Please refer to the Parent Guide for Creating Exceptions for details on how to use the system.
5.   As you begin to use School Dismissal Manager, if you have questions, please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) link found in the Parent login area at the top of the SDM homepage. Here, you will find answers to the most commonly asked questions. If your question remains unanswered after checking here, please contact the school office and we will be happy to assist you further.
6.   When you start to receive the email notifications of changes or cancellations that are made for your child, please keep in mind that hitting Reply or Reply All on those emails does not reply to the school. If you need to respond to a notification (i.e., to inform the school it is incorrect, provide additional details, etc.) please call the school directly and talk with someone in the office.
7.   Each school day, School Dismissal Manager will send a comprehensive dismissal report to the school immediately following the cut-off time, allowing administrators and staff to facilitate a smooth dismissal.

Thank you for using this tool to help us keep the dismissal process safe and orderly for all our students.
