Back to School Check-In
Mark your calendars! We are ready to distribute laptops and schedules to all students so that they are ready to go on the first day of school.

Please review the mobility plan for Back to School Check-In below. Students being dropped off should plan on the check-in process taking around 30 minutes. Peak times will be during the early am and pm timeframes and wait times will be longer then.

Students driving may utilize short-term parking in the Parking Garage. Please note there is one way into the garage and one way out of the garage. When exiting please follow the Exit signs down and out of the garage.

Permit-only parking during school days will be in effect beginning Monday, August 22nd.

ID Pictures - New System!
We are excited to roll out our new Student ID system! Students are encouraged to check their HISD email and follow the directions to upload their choice of ID picture. Guidelines:
  • Pictures should be a simple headshot
  • Plain background
  • No hats or sunglasses
  • No hand gestures or signs
All pictures will be screened and approved before an ID is printed. Students are encouraged to submit their pictures now so that all ID badges will be ready for pick-up during Back to School Check-In. Please note that all students will be required to wear their Student ID this year and for it to be visible.

When looking in email, students should search for an email sent from CardExchange Cloud. The subject line is “Your account has been created.”

If you have a question or encounter a problem uploading your picture, please email [email protected].
We are Looking for a Golf Cart!
As you dig around your garage or help a friend declutter, keep an eye out for a usable golf cart that could find a new home within the Bellaire parking garage. Your treasure could help us supervise around campus as we near the completion of our 2012 construction project. We look forward to hearing from you via email Mr. Lloyd.
Cardinal Camp
Friday, August 12, we welcomed over 600 freshmen onto campus! Junior and Senior Crew Leaders met with students and led them around our campus. Students had the opportunity to participate in Club Jamboree and get connected with clubs and organizations across campus.

Cardinal Camp is just one step in our process to help students transition to high school. Parents mark your calendars for our Freshmen Parent Meeting on September 28.

Home Lunch Permits
Juniors and Seniors can now submit applications for Home Lunch Permits. Click here to submit an application.

Once a Home Lunch Permit is submitted, the Assistant Principal will check the student's academic/discipline status and verify permission with the parent. Students should monitor their HISD email for an approval notice from their Assistant Principal. Once approved students will receive an ID that indicates that they can leave campus during Cardinal Hour. A student must show their ID to leave campus.

Bellaire's campus will be closed for the first two weeks of school. Home lunch passes will not go into effect until September 6. All students should plan to bring their lunch or a meal will be provided by the school.
Course Change Requests
Course Change Requests are made online. Counselors are processing a large number of requests at this time. Beginning next week requests should be processed in approximately 48 hours. Please do not submit your request multiple times as that slows down the process.

Reasons a schedule change form should be completed:
  • A class is missing or repeated
  • A class you took in summer school or another semester is on your schedule.
  • A required core class (English, Math, Science or Social Studies) is missing.
  • The class level is not correct, for example, you wanted to be in an AP class and you are in an Academic level class.
Reasons you should not submit a schedule change:
  • Requesting a different teacher
  • Requesting your classes be in a different order.
  • You want to be in a class with a friend

Parking Garage Lottery - Seniors
Seniors that entered the parking lottery were notified via their HISD email address this weekend about the status of their application.

Students that received a notice that they had been selected for a parking space must present a signed contract, a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a car to be issued a permit. The spots are non-transferable. Students may not give or sell their spot to anyone. If a student declines a spot, it will be given to someone on the waiting list. Students that won spots need to follow the directions in the email that they received to claim their spot August 15-19th. We will move to our waitlist of students following the August 19th deadline. If you have any questions about the lottery, please email Ms. Frank.
