CACCE April 2020 E-Newsletter
COVID-19 Resources and Updates
We have created a COVID-19 resource page on the CACCE website that houses local, state, and federal updates.

Be sure to review the document provided by the US Chamber explaining the funding available to Chambers of Commerce through the EIDL program - click here for more information.

One important aspect of the page are the samples that have been provided by your CACCE peers. Be sure to review the page to see what you can use to communicate to your members. I also wanted to share the COVID-19 pages of other associations - scroll to the bottom of these pages to see samples from local chambers in those states:

We have also included documents and articles from chamber industry experts. Be sure to check out this new article from Bill Pawlucy and Bob Harris - Adjusting Budgets Impacted by Crisis.

Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge
The Chamber started a clean up the Gorge campaign to encourage people to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and exercise. We are setting up a location for them to pick up trash bags to use while they are walking and encouraging them to wear gloves. We provide them with areas that could use some love, dumpster locations to take the trash and asking them to take pictures. It is not a set event, more an effort to do something positive by getting exercise and helping to clean up around our community.

The Chamber is also selling gift cards via ChamberMaster for our restaurants and giving 100% back to the restaurants. We are covering administrative costs and credit card fees as our contribution of support.

The Chamber is ramping up their PR for the Dirty Dancing Festival scheduled for September 11 & 12 at Lake Lure, NC.

A lot of things are happening and there's new information coming out daily. We are very proud of all the local businesses in our area that have stepped up. Unfortunately, our restaurants, retailers and service providers are having to adjust their business, impacting them and their employees. The business community is asking for your help to support local whenever you can. Use local services. Order take out and delivery. Buy gift cards to use at a later date. These things make a big impact in our local communities.
