Summer Quest 2020: Imagine Your Story 

 It's been quite a year, and we know it hasn't been easy. 
This summer, we want to make things simple and fun, while giving kids the chance to learn and grow and of course, read! 
We have moved the  SummerQuest 2020 Kid's Learning Challenge online to our new Beanstack site. Pre-registratio n begins June 1st and the program runs from June 15th through July 24th.
 Sign up here: https://cclsys.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker mobile app, This year's theme: Imagine Your Story, is all about fairy tales and fantasy. Complete the kids' online reading and activity challenge and automatically be entered for the chance to win prizes, such as gift cards and educational toys. You can even register your whole family with one account to keep track of everyone's reading! Make sure to follow our Cambria County Library Facebook page and subscribe to our Cambria County Library YouTube channel for online programs and further information. SummerQuest Kick-off Celebration

 First, make sure that you are signed up for our SummerQuest 2020 Learning challenge through Beanstack! Then, beginning Monday, June 15th, stop outside of the library for your Kick-off bag (while supplies last!) On Tuesday, June 16th, tune in at 7:00 p.m. to Jester Jim's live virtual performance. Juggling fire and balancing I-pads...why not?! The link will be posted on our Facebook page. Don't forget to follow our Facebook page and subscribe to our Cambria County Library YouTube channel for more fun activities throughout the week, like our GIANT DRAGON naming contest!

Juggling fire and spinning iPads is just the start. With a background in film making and over 3 million views on social media The Jester Jim Virtual Comedy Show is just what you need this summer. This 40 min live broadcast packed with tricks, balancing, and laughs, will leave you wanting more. Come join us for all the fun and interact with Jima and his amazing show, LIVE!

SummerQuest Virtual Programs

We will have exciting virtual programming for children, teens and adults with a new theme each week. Content will be posted on our Facebook Page and YouTube channel. Below are the list of times and themes for our children's programming:

Mondays:
An online activity related to that week's theme will 
be  posted  and  available to try all week long!

Harry Potter Virtual Magic Show

Join master magician and comedian, Rusty Ammerman for an entertaining LIVE virtual show, that you won't soon forget! For Potterheads (and magic loving folk) of all ages!

Summer Youth Cafe'
The library will once again be a Summer Youth Café' site! Providing Healthy and FREE grab 'n go meals for youth ages 18 and under. 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches. No cost or sign up required. 
Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Meals will be distributed from van in our parking lot. Line will form in grassy area next to parking lot. 
Teen Department events...for EVERYONE! 

Online Silent Disco Party
June 11th 2:00 p.m. 
A time of dance, fun and creative movement for youth on the spectrum and their friends through our Create and Connect program. Join the Cambria County Library and Rachel Allen from YogaSong as we dance online together!  Register through the Google Form link below and a link to a Spotify playlist will be sent out for you to listen to on your own device. Funding for this event is provided by the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance from the 1889 Foundation Creative Health Impact Grant.

Online Yoga Session

Curbside Service
Beginning Tuesday, June 9th 

Patrons with current (non-digital) Cambria County Library cards may visit cclsys.org and place up to 10 items on hold. Items will be available for curbside pick up the next day between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.(Monday through Saturday.) Use the designated spots in the parking lot and call (814) 536-5131 and press option 2 when you arrive. Please call (814) 536-5131 and press option 1 for more information and assistance placing your order. We are looking forward to seeing you Curbside!
