RUBBISH, RECYCLING AND YARD WASTE COLLECTION UPDATE (07/03/2021)
Public Works crews continue to focus on the collection of the massive volume of personal property and debris placed at the curb from the June 25th & 26th rain and flood event.

RUBBISH COLLECTION

  • Crews collected most of Friday's rubbish route by Saturday afternoon. If your rubbish is normally collected on Friday and you still have items at the curb you can expect it to be collected on Monday, July 5th.
  • No rubbish will be collected on Sunday, July 4th due to the closure of the waste transfer stations in observation of Independence Day. The City has no control of Sunday's closure of the waste transfer stations.
  • Rubbish collection may experience delays as the flood clean-up efforts continue. The City will provide further updates as the clean-up progresses.

RECYCLING COLLECTION

  • Recycling routes will be delayed one day the week of July 5th.
  • Friday's recycling route will be picked up on Saturday, July 10th.
  • Recycling collection is provided by the City's contractor Green for Life (GFL).

YARD WASTE COLLECTION

  • Yard waste collection may experience delays as the flood clean-up efforts continue. The City will provide further updates as the clean-up progresses.

The crew of the Public Works Department are very grateful for the support they have received from our Grosse Pointe Farms family of residents, and ask for your continued patience.
