WINTER PREPARATIONS
'twas a bit of a surprise, as we awoke to a snowy Saturday morning!

Reluctantly and without warning, we have surely “turned the corner” and warm Autumn days are but a fond memory. Boats have been hauled and trundled off to their winter storage, LSPA’s Water Quality Buoy is at it’s winter dock, many lakeside shops are closed until next season, kids are back in school (well, sort of) and everybody is catching their breath as the summer frenzy winds down. All hands turn to the rituals of winter preparations, even as we collectively grapple with uncertainty of COVID, and the election in two weeks. Much is hanging in the balance… and whatever the outcome, count the blessings of family and friends… and be neighborly as always.

LIBRARIES
LIBRARIES store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore, achieve and contribute to improving the quality of life.
When you absolutely positively have to know, ask a librarian. Huge “THANK YOU" to all the local library staffs who’ve kept their very essential services available in difficult and confusing circumstances. Heroes one and all!
