How quickly time flies: It is already April!

April means MMAMTA Scholarship Auditions application is due, on April 15. For more information, visit https://www.mmamta.org/auditions.html where you will be able to find information and PDF application form.

If you are looking for possible places to send your students to a summer camp, The Spring 2021 Piano Guild Notes magazine has a good list. Another good source is Musical America. Both of these listing is now posted at the same webpage, https://www.mmamta.org/auditions.html .

THANK YOU to those who participated and donated to the 2021 Musicathon. I would like to personally thank Renan Leme, who donated HOURS of his time, compiling and uploading the videos for all of us to see and share. He is tallying the total donation, though I am happy to report we have raised about $750. Another newsletter will be sent in about a week, to collect more complete information from Renan, and Jan Houser in Jefferson City.

  • 15 [Thu]: Application Deadline MMAMTA Scholarship Auditions. Auditions will be virtual (video submission) again this year. Application and details are available at: https://www.mmamta.org/auditions.html 
  • 16 [Fri] 7pm: First Baptist Church of Columbia: Odyssey Chamber Music Series presents "M-Odyssey." A program expertly organized by Odyssey Performance Fellows, you can always expect unexpected musical treats at M-Odyssey concerts. This concert includes last season’s Kassandra Ormsby, this season's Andrew Wiele, and their friends to deliver everything from Brahms to Bebop to seriously hilarious P.D.Q. Bach and more!  Program includes Brahms Clarinet Trio with Andrew Wiele, clarinet, Andrew Lewis, cello, and Bomi Kim, piano.
