Rocky Railway VBS 2021 Volunteer Registration

Volunteer opportunities are available for children who have completed 6th grade this current school year, through adults.

We look forward to sharing Jesus with kids this summer through Vacation Bible School. "Rocky Railway" is the place for kids to discover how Jesus' power can pull us through any situation. You are just the person to help guide children as they play, think, create and sing their way to a closer relationship with Jesus.
Services Provided for Volunteers
All volunteers will need to be at Lord of Life Lutheran Church from 8:30am-12:30pm each day. Nursery care is available to children of volunteers who are not old enough to attend Vacation Bible School. We will have morning care available from 8:30-9am for children who are registered to attend VBS. Please fill in the designated areas on the registration form if you need any of these services.

Volunteer Positions: Please read through these in order to select where you would like to help on your registration

You will lead the same process for four different groups of approximately 10 three to five year olds. You will have 2 other volunteers in the room with you.

Elementary Station Leader: Will team up with one other volunteer to lead one of our three stations (Crafts, Games, Bible Discovery). You will lead the same process for four different groups of approximately 16 six to eleven year olds. You will have 4 additional volunteers in the room with you.

Preschool Crew Leader: Will be "home base" for 10 three to five year olds. This person will check their crew members in each morning and check them out at the end of each day. There will be two volunteers for each preschool crew to guide the children through their stations each day. You will help your crew at each station complete the tasks given by the station leader. You will stay with your crew the entire morning and throughout the week.

***If you would like to request to be a crew leader to a specific child's crew (your grandchild or your own child), please specify his/her name in the section indicated on the registration.***

***In general, younger volunteers (those who have completed 6-8th grade) will be grouped with Preschool positions. High-school age volunteers will be grouped with Elementary positions.***

Signing up more than one volunteer?

The first set of information required is for the first volunteer. At the end of this section, you will see the option to ADD another volunteer. Click the ADD button to enter the next volunteer's information. Please do not hit REGISTER, until you have added ALL volunteers.

COVID-related procedures during VBS week

ALL volunteers and participants 3 years and older will be required to wear a mask during their time at VBS. Frequent handwashing is recommended and all participants and volunteers will have at least one opportunity to wash their hands each day during the snack session. Crews are smaller this year to allow for more spacing. We're also making use of the entire building along with outdoor space. The Lord of Life Re-Opening Team continues to monitor the local situation and updates policies when able.
