Day Camp Coming this Summer!


Cub Scout "Wild West" Day Camp is coming to a location near you! Most camps are two-day overnight experiences where all Cub Scouts can participate in shooting sports, crafts, cooking, games, and so much more! Camps are open house style again this year and a great opportunity for your pack's summer program! New Council Shoulder Patch Announced!


Introducing the brand new Northern Lights Council Shoulder patch! This design had the majority vote from more than 500 Scouts and Scouters in our council. Representing our area in this design, this patch was designed by Margaret Huettl of Troop 5401 of Minot, ND! The new patch's availability this upcoming fall will be announced soon!

NYLT Experience


August 5-7 and August 12-14, 2022

Wanzek Center for Scouting (Fargo, ND)


National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an action-packed, exciting program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations.

NYLT is a two-weekend course. Maximum number of participants is 30. Click HERE for more info.

Cub Scout Adventure Camp


Cub Scouts of all ages are invited to join us in the space themed summer camp at either Butler Wilderness Outpost or Heart Butte Scout Reservation. Camp offers families opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, featuring tent, cabin, and limited RV camping. Cub Adventure Camp provides numerous activities for Cub Scouts including archery, swimming, crafts, fishing, boating and more. Come experience adventure, advancement and achievement while enjoying time with friends and family! You can sign up anytime on our website at https://nlcbsa.org/campingprograms/adventurecamp We continue to make frequent updates to our website as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages in preparation not only for Cub Adventure Camp, but all our year-round programs. 

Medora Service Project


We are partnering with the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) again for the 2022 season. The TRMF will host Troops and Crews beginning in June. The Scouts will provide volunteer service each day involving flag raising and lowering ceremonies and participating in other community service projects as needed. TRMF will provide a Campsite at the Medora Campground, Mini Golf coupon, swimming at the Elkhorn Quarters Pool and tickets to the Pitchfork Fondue and the Medora Musical. Other attractions and meals will be the responsibility of the troop. Click HERE for more info.
