Dear Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) Friends and Customers,

In partnership with Denver Community Media , we've launched a new series of virtual programming to keep you active! Recreation activities will air Monday thru Friday at 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Comcast channels 56 and 881 , along with a mixture of repeats at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

In addition, new videos will also be posted to DPR's YouTube channel each day. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for direct links to this content!

MONDAY
Active Older Adult Functional Fitness
Join us each week for this 50+ approved class adaptable to all fitness levels. Build strength for daily living through exercises designed to increase range of motion and strength.

Equipment needed : A chair for seated exercises. Optional: dumbbells (canned soup), bands or towel.

TUESDAY
Vinyasa Yoga

This practice is based on foundational yoga poses performed in a dynamic, flowing style to create a balance of physical action, internal focus, and conscious breathing. Poses are accessible for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.

Equipment needed:  This class utilizes a mat or carpeted floor.

WEDNESDAY
Cheerleading

This class is designed for kids ages 5-14 to teach basic cheerleading fundamentals that includes: kicks, jumps, chants, and stunts that can be done from home.

THURSDAY
Basketball Drills

Basketball drills and conditioning that you can do at home! This is a great routine for any age, sure to keep you in-shape for basketball season.

Equipment needed:  Basketball and any stationary object such as a cone or chair.

FRIDAY
Total Body Fitness

This 25-minute class will blast your entire body through a variety of resistance training exercises!

Classes may utilize the following equipment:
1. Dumbbells (cans of beans, peanut butter jars)
2. Kettlebell (laundry detergent jug, heavy box)
3. Glider disc (paper plate, towel)
4. Plyo Box (sturdy chair, bench)
5. Resistance band (no band)
6. Mat (carpeted floor)
7. Sandbag (backpack)
8. Barbell (suitcase, box)

Tasty Food
Denver Recreation Centers are partnering with the Denver Office of Children's Affairs to distribute meals as part of the  Tasty Food program. Grab-and-go suppers for youth, ages 1 – 18, are available at select Denver recreation centers during the weekdays. No ID or registration required.
Monday–Friday 3:30-5:30 p.m.
