CHARGER STAMPEDE
Arete means aspiring to excellence in every area, be it athletics, academics, or the arts.
In Memoriam- Randy Tiano

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Randy Tiano.

Randy, our facilities technician, passed away recently. We all knew Randy as a kind and helpful soul who helped keep our school running smoothly. He was a vital part of our community and will be missed. Randy played a big role in our athletics as he helped tend to our gym and field and was always willing to help where and when needed. He will be missed, and may he rest in peace.

Tax Credit Season is Underway!

Arete Fall Athletics are back in full swing! We are thrilled to see our student athletes getting the opportunity to develop character, build community, and challenge themselves in competition once again.

Our athletics are made possible by your Arizona State Tax Credits. This is a dollar for dollar CREDIT on your AZ state taxes. 100% of your tax credit designation goes to our athletics and clubs, and provides our Chargers with these valuable opportunities.

Thank you for your support!

Please reach out to our Academy Giving Manager Jessica Vaughan with questions.

MS Boys XC Wins 2nd Meet in a Row!

The Charger MS Boys XC team placed first in their GHMSL meet on Saturday, held at Espee Park. Max Bruns, Owen Whitehead, Anthony Ponce, Rigby Rushton, and John Bruns were all top ten finishers and contributed to the first place team score. Rebecca Ponce continues to shine on the girls side, individually finishing in 2nd place in her race.
Advanced Archery Update

Our 2020 Advanced Archery team has almost 50 archers working under Coach Portillo, and are gearing up for their first competition. The team's first few competitions will be virtual, and shot on the Arete campus before scores are combined and compared with other teams. The first shoot will be on 10/31. The team is once again hoping to achieve National, and potentially world qualification as a program for the third year in a row.

Prahlad Ratan- 8th - MS A Flag Football

Prahlad and the Chargers finally got their flag football season underway and put on quite a show. "Petey'' had two touchdowns and 2 extra points on offense, and 2 interceptions on defense in a 26-6 win over Chandler Prep. He is consistently one of the hardest workers in practice, and mentors the younger players in the group in terms of how to practice and how to compete. Congratulations Prahlad!
