Summer Open House

Learn about all RVCC has to offer and how to enroll for the Fall Semester at a Summer Open House, July 20, 5-7 p.m., in the RVCC Atrium.

Participants may tour the campus, apply for free, and learn more about:
  • Innovative academic programs designed to help students transfer to top colleges & universities
  • Career training programs designed in partnership with local industry
  • Financial Aid options, including scholarships, loans, and grants
  • Free tuition for those who qualify through the NJ Community College Opportunity Grant
  • Special support services to help you make a successful transition to college
  • RVCC’s active student life, offering students the total college experience

Register for Fall Classes

It’s not too late to register for Fall Semester classes. Applying is free! Classes start August 31.
Instant Decision Day

Take the steps to enroll for the Fall Semester all in one day at an Instant Decision Day, July 28, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the RVCC Event Center. In one session you will have the opportunity to:
  • Speak with an admissions specialist and learn about the steps to enroll
  • Explore financial aid options including loans, grants, scholarships, and the Free Tuition Program
  • Submit admissions documentation
  • Meet with an Academic Advisor
  • Complete the New Student Registration Request Form, if you’re a first-time college student

Information Sessions

RVCC is holding in-person and virtual Information Sessions and other events in July, including a special session focusing on the College’s Auto Tech program and a Transfer Information Session.

Registration is suggested for all Admissions events.
Historic Gift for Nursing Scholarships

The RVCC Nursing program has received the largest gift in its history from the Somerset Hills Community Health Foundation in support of the College's Nursing students. The $100,000 donation to the RVCC Foundation was recently announced by the Community Foundation of New Jersey.

RVCC Professor Creates NYC Street Mural

The Union Square Partnership has unveiled a new street mural installation in New York City designed by visual artist Ji Yong Kim, a fulltime faculty member in RVCC’s Arts & Design department. Titled Ripples of Peace and Calm, the artwork is located along the pedestrian areas of the 14th Street Busway between Broadway and Union Square West.

Free Tuition for Qualified Students

RVCC participates in the New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant Program, which offers free community college to qualified students. Find out if you’re eligible for this program.
Nonprofit Civic Engagement Award

Maria Scarpantonio of Manville has been named the recipient of the Raritan Valley Community College Nonprofit Civic Engagement Award for spring 2022. This recognition is intended to enhance the learning experience and community involvement of Service Learning Program students who have actively participated in community engagement activities as part of their academic classes.
Planetarium

The RVCC Planetarium is offering a variety of star shows and laser concerts for all ages in July, including special Spanish-language programs.
